Someone asked me what you doing in Pune. I do not have any answer for sure. Today morning I bumped into this beautiful song after a long time. First time it made loads of sense. Let me share the lyrics with you, than we will follow some retrospection if possible here.

Ek Akela Is Shahar Mein Raat Mein Aur Dopahar Mein

Aabodaana Dhoondta Hai Aashiyana Dhoondta Hai

Din Khali Khali Bartan Hai Aur Raat Hai Jaise Andha Kuan

In Sooni Andheri Aankhon Se Aansoon Ki Jagah Aata Hain Dhuan

Jeene Ki Vajah To Koi Nahi Marne Ka Bahana Dhoondta Hai

Ek Akela Is Shahar Mein…

In Umar Se Lambi Sadkon Ko Manzil Pe Pohonchte Dekha Nahin

Bas Daudti Phirti Rahti Hain Humne To Theherte Dekha Nahin

Is Ajnabi Se Shahar Mein Jaana Pehechana Dhoondta Hai

Ek Akela Is Shahar Mein…

I do not in which context this song was placed in the movie. For sure it doesnot look like a geart break song. I think it suggest the life most of us are having these days. We are some kind of illegal aliens in our own world. Searching for the ones who can share the feelings, passions and thoughts. I think the way modern day jobs, society, city culture is developing, it is alienating the people. How many people you know out side work, for fact you do not even hang with those people you know from office once out.

Take yourself back to your native land, you will find so many people for company that you again can start complaining back, too many people around.

Every one is akela in this share, right now you have to find symbolic friends, like a book, a laptop with movies and music or a guitar, choice is yours that’s what you can find.

Whoever wrote this song must have been left stranded for sure, he wrote short and sweet. I may or may not be able to interpret what he has to say, but my view here are somewhere in context.
