World at odds (WAO)

Once there was a pond outside the village wall. There were lots of lotus flowers in this pond. This pond was inhabited by two frogs for the last two seasons. Village kids use to come to the pond every day, they played, swim and passed thy time with loads of fun.

Frogs earlier did not use to mind the kids coming and use the pond, but lately the kids have been growing in number and they had started playing in the pond for the whole day. Lotus too was not happy, as children end up damaging the flower and did not give them time to relax.

Frogs and lotus wanted to have thy pond back, but do not how to do it. The frog with white strip took their plea to the wisdom tree. Wisdom tree was the oldest tree in the forest and has been the advising elder to all the living things in the vicinity.

The tree kept on listening to the story and said you should be happy kids coming and playing with you. But the frog was reluctant to listen. The tree come to the conclusion that there can be only one solution to thy problems, he asked the frog to invited more frogs and lotus to grow more of its kind in the pond. Frog asked will the kids stop coming after that. The tree exclaimed yes, but you will come back, but that time I won’t have anything to offer you.

Frog come back and explained to his frenz what to do next. In a week there were loads of frogs invited in to the small pond; lotus grew more of its kind. In a week after that kids stopped coming there to play as they found it tough with so many users around.

One month went like this two frog and the lotus from early days were now unhappy as now there was more competition and regretted thy decision of having the kids go. The frog went back to the wisdom tree, to ask how to get rid off thy new problem. Tree showed helplessness and told there is no way back. Frog got agitated and shouted at the tree, blaming for all this. Tree was sill calm and composed. Frog in frustration was about to leave the place when tree invited him next day to come early before the sunset to know why he cannot help him now.

Next day frog come and was astonished to the scene he was seeing in front of his eye. All the kids from the village were playing with and around the tree. Tree seemed to be very happy and content. Frog went back confused but he had learned a lesson of life?
