World at odds (WAO)

Hi guys.

I will be a story teller in today’s post. Chika and Tuga best pals of mine were pulling my leg that I am an MBA and must know about business. So at least to prove to them I worked my brain to tell you some stories. These stories are as I imagine and I will try to put up on real story board sooner or later.

One basic rule before your start a Business story, you must know inside out of the area you are talking about and it should be in your grasp all the time. Salt of imagination is always helpful in all such cases. Bollywood, cricket, movies, TV, dreaming, internet these are the few things I know a bit. So I talk around them in my first business story post.

This is a story I told Saurabh first and then to Tuga and Chika dears. What’s the hottest thing on TV and internet? No guessing you all should know it. Reality TV and social networking sites are the new rage. Well we are drawing some elements from these facts to cook up a story my friends.

Some of the observations, I would like to put them as points here:-

1) Reality shows have an audience for sure.
2) Who are the audience? Young people, old people, it is a distributed demography, thus making it more interesting preposition.
3) What is the content? Well bollywood and music as talent show form the main chunk, with standup comedy too being people favorite. Few adventure and useless show like Roadies too having a niche segment.
4) Saturation being observed in content. (We may help in that regards too / not sure in the beginning of the story).
5) Use of social networking site and net is on increase in general among urban India.
6) We too observed that sites like naukri.com and shadi.com, travel.com doing very well. These portals have a purpose and they are here to stay.
7) On TV and Movies production we have observed the evolution of corporate culture. Talent scarcity too is observed. Potential for new things to happen in abundance.

All the points mentioned above are independent of each other but somewhere they form the conviction behind the success of the story I want to narrate now.

We are looking to make a portal on the line of naukri.com and shadi.com which draws some features and business acumen form them.

We too draw some elements from the above mentioned points to construct this new portal. Coming to the point, proposing you doteenponeteen.com. What it is? It is a talent portal for our own Bollywood and TV industry.

We are not just for singers, musicians, actors, we are for all type of talents / skills from script writing to editing to painting to magicians, all those who do not get chance to showcase their talent.

We will maintain the databank in a unique way not been done around the world before. You think to form a band and looking for a drummer, don’t have to go anywhere socialize on our portal. Looking for lyrics we get you the poet. Want to screen your story, we get you the feedbacks. Wanna star in a movie, we get your CV across to the concerned. Aspiring model we get your profile viewed by them. Don’t have to be in Bombay to struggle. You can now fight for your chance from Rai Barely itself.

It is just the curtain raiser, equivalent of your idea screening stage of a business plan. 98 % of the story is left to be unfolded. I will make it holle holle.
